WEEK 4

This week we have been out a lot. The weather has been really nice. I love strolling around with you in our awesome "Swedish style" stroller. You love it. Too bad there is not really a good spot for Bianca to hop on and get a bit of a ride once in a while. But I think I can figure out something though. Though is something Bianca has been saying a lot lately. It must be something I am saying a lot too then. Usually that is how it goes is it not? On Monday this week we went on your checkup. You were one day from being 3 weeks old. Wow 3 weeks already, that is wild. You had gained almost 2 pounds. WOW! Big boy. 11.1 you weighed. Your head was almost 3 inches bigger. WOW! And you were about an inch taller. BIG BOY in your 95th percentile. This week you also had your first REAL bath!!! Ha ha you were not so happy about that but then you were like "alright I guess I can have this". SO cute. Posting pictures from this past week here.

Week 3

We have had Kalima stay here with us for more than a month. It has been great because she is so great. She wanted to be here for your birth Odin, so she came nice and early, a few days before Christmas so that in case you came early (your due date was the 24th of December) she would be here. Well you decided to stay in my tummy til 2011 so she hung around for a while. Of course she could not leave so soon once you had arrived. Who would want to miss A day in your little beautiful life if they did not have too? So now we are all to ourselves.

The other night was hilariously funny. We were all watching a movie and Bianca was very glued to it. She noticed that you Odin were about to make some noise. She then, without looking away from the TV said with a very firm, strong, confident, bossy almost voice "FEED HIM". And that was that. Oh my I laughed so hard tears were streaming down my face. That was so great. Very firmly FEED HIM and so there was nothing else for me to do than to feed you. Because I guess that is what makes babies be quiet. At least one of the things that makes you quiet. Bianca got it down.

Week 2

Odin you are a week and a half old. It feels like yesterday that you were born, and that is how it will feel forever, like it was yesterday! It is sooooo nice to have a little baby in the house again. You smell so good and you sound so sweet. A baby's cry is the sweetest sound. Odin you have gotten so BIG. Well at least you seem so much bigger. You are so cute in every way. Most cute when you are dressed in little sweat pants I think. You are a great eater, and a good sleeper. I have learned how you do things, how you like things now. If you have a burp on the way or if you are in need of pooping while you are eating you have to stop eating to do your business. It is very cute! If you are fussy it usually means a burp needs to come up or you have a poop on the way.You have been so alert since day one, and you are so strong. We or I call you the ox. Strong like an ox. You keep your head up, you clasp your hands together and move them all sorts of ways and you push your self up on your little legs! You are amazing!! Your gaze is amazing too. You have very intense eyes! I cannot stop looking at them, at you. Sometimes you intimidate me even! You little guy!

Your sister showers you with kisses, you are being spoiled so much, spoiled in a wonderful way. Bianca loves you so much and she helps me so much with you. She makes sure you get your pacifier, or gets diapers, and she likes to change you and to dress you. She is the snapper she says, she likes to snap the snaps on your clothes.

Here are some images from the past week.

Week 1

Odin was born Tuesday the 4th of January at 00.56 in the morning. He sure took his time. But he was well worth the wait. Bianca is now a big sister. Wow! She is a good one too, she helps me with everything. I am a spoiled mama.

Here on this blog I will post a picture, at least, once a week. It is my 52 week project documenting my children. I should be able to do that I am hoping. So this is my first post. Week 1 2011, (although I posted on the second week, just changed the posting date a little) I wont do that though in the future. I am checking in here once a week AT LEAST, if I check in more often, that is absolutely GREAT!

A picture of Bianca watching her new brother at the hospital. So sweet. Wonder what she must be thinking now? Having been the one and only one for so long. Almost 5 years. I think she will be just fine with it though, but I am sure there are some feelings in her about this brother thing. :)

I am so happy to have Odin here! Bianca and Odin, you are the most precious in the world to me.
