More from week 16

More from this past week. Lots of fun in the evening sun with good friends. The downtown beach is not a bad beach, so close and so beautiful with low water for the kids to run around in. We often see dolphins here and as you can see in one of the pictures a huge horse shoe crab! Also Easter egg painting this weekend and the tie dye we did with the leftover dye paint from the eggs. It worked, so cool and the rain actually helped making an even cooler design on the shirts and udnerwear that we dyed. Oh big thing this past week ODIN went swinging for the first time. He thought it was pretty cool. Ha ha ! First thing things are sooo fun. Have I forgotten anything? Maybe , probably but maybe I will add more soon.

WEEK 16

This week was Kalimas last few days of this stay. She has seen Odin grow, and get stronger ans stronger. He flips over from back to stomach like a champ and does not mind laying there for the longest time. He is super strong. Practicing and getting stronger each time. Odin has a new nick name now, Kalima calls him wild cat. Which suits him very well. He is so smart and has figured out that if he screeches, or sounds like a wildcat people will come to him. He likes attention and will be on his own for a while but he will rather have someone look at him , pay attention to HIM!!! Smart little guy this one. Bianca has been hanging out a bit with Eva which she really enjoys. We have been hanging out at the downtown beach a few nights this past week. Til sunset, so so nice. WE really do live in paradise here. The kids play and play and do not bother with us mommies for the longest time. Is that not paradise for all parties so tell me? On Easter Caroline came over in the morning and we painted eggs and other egg art. Later on that day Bianca and I tried to do tie dye with the left over dye from the egg painting. It seemed to work pretty well. We hung the shirts and underwear that we dyed outside in the tree to dry but it started to rain. Well that was cool because it washed out some of the paint and made the design even cooler. Pictures to come..Upload so slow tonight but I will post in a few days. Good night!!!!!

More from week 15

Odin got himself some nice presents also, I guess because he is soo cute!! He loved the caterpillar from GiGima. It had many feet on it that was good for sucking. And also he seemed to really like his little hat that cousin Hannah gave him. Since he is such a big boy he wont be able to wear it for long, but it is a keeper for all the stuffed animals and stuff that we have. Odin is a great tummy guy. He turned over the first time a while back. From back to tummy. That is supposedly harder than from tummy to back. Well not for Odin. That is what he does all day long. And he enjoys being on his tummy, the view must be more interesting from there. We also saw a butterfly being born in our back yard. We noticed many cocoons so I think there are a few who decided to be birthed in our yard. We now see them, 4 of them coming frequently to see about us. We call one of them Pretty. Caus' she is so PRETTY!

WEEK 15

This past week was a lot of beach. Wonderful evening at Fort De Soto, with beautiful sunset, and we were almost eaten to death by a gazillion mosquitoes as we left. They must love the beach area right when the sun sets. The next day we went to a different beach and that was lovely too. High waves which was SO fun, the water is so warm that we just love it. Bianca is getting very comfortable in the water now, almost a little too comfortable and I have to remind her that she does not swim, and that NOW is a good time to learn. She agrees. We will see. We also celebrated Bianca just one more time. Oh gosh what a birthday bash this little girl has had. We made another cake and decorated with the fun candle from Momma and Moffa. We sang and she got to open presents from Kalima ( daddy's mommy). We had not had time to do that yet. So she is one lucky girl.

Odin is just Odin, and he parties too. He smiles and is oh so happy. Except when we leave him alone for one minute, then he screams out loud. He has figured out that he doesn;t so much like it when no one is looking AT HIM!!!! Smart boy! We have a new name for him; WILDCAT!!!

More birthday pics!!

We had a lovely day for Bianca's birthday. We beaded with second hand beads, they were like little treasures for the kids. (And adults too.) I am posting a picture of what I created later as I got home, I couldn't find the time when I was a the party. But I love beading, it is so relaxing and soothing. The beach was a big hit. We all stayed til late afternoon. And three of the families stayed all the way til 6 in the evening, when we started to get a bit pooped from all the splashing and all the sunshine.
