Week 8

Your 7 week checkup this week. You are doing well. 95th percentile length and 98th percentile weight. You weighed 13 lbs 9 ounces in Swedish that is 6.3 kilo's and were 25 inches tall, in Swedish that is 63,5 cm. Wooohoo! When we left the doctors office we encountered a SNAKE. I am sure you were aware that something was happening the way I was screaming and running. Wow, I almost tossed you, because I was so scared. Good thing I was able to control myself and the fact I was holding you. Bianca poor thing she was left alone to fend for herself. She was more afraid because of how I was reacting. Yikes I really HATE snakes. I always have said this even though I never really have encountered a snake. But now I know that I HATE them. This little razor snake scared me SOOOO much. Ok enough about that snake. We have been chillin at the park, went to a couple of parties, just sort of dropped in and said hi. You were fussy because really you like to go to bed around 7.30. It was now past that time, plus I left your pacifier at home, not smart. As soon as we got home and I gave you your paci you closed your beautiful eyes and went right to sleep. You sleep good at night now and you are able to put yourself to sleep, I think that is a good sign.

Bianca went to a soap birthday party. SO much fun. She loved it. Wasn't sure she was gonna go at first, but decided to anyways and boy what a good thing. She had a blast. The kids got to create their own soap and bring it home. Pretty sweet stuff!

Oh, the beautiful black and white image Bianca took of us. So wonderful to have such a talented little girl! ;)

WEEK 7

You are 6 weeks old. Such a big boy. As seen in the picture below. You look so adorable, and when you wear collar shirts you look so grown to me. And then when you also cross your fingers you look very wise. This week we went to the ocean for the first time. You slept through the whole thing. Who wouldn't? The sound of the ocean and the fresh breeze. Bianca and Caroline and Reese were playing, jumping and running. The water was amazing and the warmth was perfect. Sure hope the weather will stay this nice next week when Emma is coming to visit. Yippie!

Oh, you had your first babysitter this Friday. Caroline and Reese's daddy looked after you while me and their mommy went out for a drink and a salad. You did great.

Ok here are some shots from last week.

WEEK 6

This past week you must have gained 2 pounds. You are so heavy. Big boy! You laughed at me for the first time too. I must have tickled your neck and you laughed out loud, so darling cute. We also get a lot of smiles from you now. It is really so sweet. You also rode in a big boy car seat which you seemed to enjoy. We were on a walk to the library and our dear friends were there too. That was a good thing because by the time we were walking home it was pouring rain outside. So we did a bit of an illegal thing and rode you home in a way too big of a car seat. Cute was it though!

Bianca has made a new friend this week. She plays so amazingly well with anybody. Parents are always so surprised how well their children play with her. I am lucky to have such a great child. Bianca also knows how to tie now. She ties pretty much anything. She learned this task awhile before Christmas. Also she now knows how to ride a bike. She never really showed interest in riding a bike before and I did not make a big deal of it because she would do it one day. Well, few weeks ago she jumped on a bike in a thrift store and rode around as if she had not done differently before. Such great stuff. Here are some images from this past week. I am trying to post videos but it is not working so I need to figure out how to do that. Enjoy!

WEEK 5

This week you have been making some big changes. You have scooted yourself forward about 3 inches. WOHOO! Yep, I laid you on your tummy next to me, and you were squirming a little, but I did not look at you right away, thought you were just moving your body a little, but once I looked over you had actually made your way forward. Wow. Well we do call you the Ox for a reason. Since your first days you have been very strong. You keep your head up for a long time, and that you did really early, but now you are even stronger. You stand up too, when I hold you up you put your legs nice and strong on me. You have been smiling to us a lot this week too. It is very cute, a slight sideways smile. Bianca says that her cousin Jimmy smiles like that. She likes cousin Jimmy very much. You have had a couple of nights were you slept really good. Nice for mommy. But then you had some were you were up more. You are cute though, there is no crying at night, but you lay and make noise, which wakes me up and I cannot go to sleep. It is all good, that will probably change. You are after all only one month old. This Friday you turned 1 month. Wow, where does time go?

Here are images from this past week. I love love love the one of you sitting up on the couch and the one where you are chatting with your sister!!!
